AfroMambo Salsa Classes & Class Fees

Coming Up….

Life is better when you dance!

Next Workshop and social will be on Sunday 14th July.

Looking forward to you joining us at The Ascot Hotel for another fun and a little challenging too, KIZOMBA (with a touch of Urban) workshop followed by social (with a great mix of Salsa, Bachata & Kizomba).

All levels welcome. See all details here

If there’s one dance that you learn in 2019 make it Kizomba! As described in the linked articles below, Kizomba  is one of the most popular genres of dance around the world and it is fast growing in popularity right here in Johannesburg. To learn Kizomba is also a great way to learn the flow and beauty of lead and follow. So, get into the Kizomba Kraze by learning to dance it soon. See below for more info on AfroMambo classes in Norwood and Bedfordview.

    • Dear Hope,
Thank you for your enquiry regarding our kizomba classes in Bedfordview. Unfortunately, we have had to postpone them indefinitely due to unforeseen circumstances. We do however continue to teach salsa at the News Cafe in Bedfordview. We are currently planning to start Kizomba classes in Norwood on Thursday nights beginning in January. Please keep an eye on the site for updated information regarding classes.
      Kind regards,

      • Hi Thuli,

  2. Dear Annie,
Thank you for your enquiry. Unfortunately none of my class venues are close to Midrand. You could try out Dance Cafe studios in Rivonia. That will be the closest studio to you.
    Kind Regards,

  3. Dear Leigh,
Thank you for your enquiry and apologies for my late reply. Please click on the link below for all dance class and fee related information.
The class that would best suit you in terms of being a beginner would be the Monday night salsa class in Norwood. It is several weeks old but I provide a pre-lesson catch-up lesson at 5.30pm which would enable you to get comfortable with the basic salsa movements. Women generally pick up dancing quicker than men so I don’t mind integrating you at this stage. I have also begun an Absolute Beginner Kizomba class that follows on from the Monday night salsa class at 8pm. It began last Monday so no problem with you joining that class either.
Please do not hesitate in letting me know if you require any further information.
    Kind Regards,

  4. Hello, I’m coming to Johannesburg for Xmas holidays – are there any kizomba parties or socials happening around that time? Thanks

  5. Hi, I would like to take on Salsa dance lessons, but I have never danced before, do you have beginner classes for individuals like me that has never tried the dance or does not know one step of the dance?

    • Dear Yolanda, my sincere apologies for not replying sooner. I unfortunately do not have an absolute beginner salsa class going at the moment. I would suggest you contact Leigh Nathan on +27 (72) 992-8536 or Tash Wyatt on +27 (79) 638-7970 to find out if they have a beginner class you can immediately join in. I do hope you find a class soon so that you can confidently get on the dance floor. Kind regards, Sonia
